OSPF holds bi-monthly meetings to address statewide suicide prevention and postvention areas of concern and provide expert-led trainings to strengthen and sustain coalition work. DMHA employed a state suicide prevention coordinator tasked with developing a state suicide prevention plan that included educational opportunities, suicide risk identification training, coordination of county and regional advisory groups, and recommendations for improved data collection. SPRC’s online offerings for state suicide prevention leads (such as online trainings, resources, webinars, communities of learning, and listservs) allow leaders from states with limited travel funding to engage in education with national experts and network with peers from across the United States. Many states host suicide prevention trainings that bring together subject matter experts, state-level professionals, and health/behavioral health and community partners to strengthen suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention capacity. This position is responsible for coordinating statewide suicide prevention activities, monitoring implementation of the state’s suicide prevention plan, and supporting the New Hampshire Suicide Prevention Council.
